Using Dropbox for faster delivery of genealogy reports

Clients who use my professional research and copying services now have a new option. Instead of using Australia Post, I can sometimes send my report and any accompanying documents or images online (via Dropbox).

When the documents / images are ready, I will email you a link. The 'download' button will then let you choose (1) 'Download as .Zip', or (2) 'Save to my Dropbox'. Many people prefer the latter, for which you will need a free Dropbox account:

  1. Go to Dropbox and create an account.
  2. Download the free version of Dropbox (not the business one).
  3. Install it on your computer.
After you download the documents / images:
  1. Email me as soon as you have finished downloading.
  2. Remember to make backup copies and store them off-site.  (See Natural Disasters and Family History.)
