How to send requests and payment

  • WARNING!  Do NOT contact me from a Hotmail, Outlook, Live, MSN or Yahoo address. If you do, my reply (research report, mini-guide, ebook etc) will probably go into their 'black hole' instead of your Inbox or Spam, and you will have to pay for the time it takes me to send it again. (A free email address from Gmail is much safer.)

  • NOTE!  If you email me at [Image of email address] (shown as an image) and don't receive (1) an immediate automated reply, and (2) another acknowledgement within 4 days (I only work part-time), check your spam/junk/trash email folder (and, in Gmail, the promotions tab). I usually reply to emails, and send reports, copies and miniguides, from this alternative address: [Image of ALTERNATIVE email address] (shown as an image). It is your responsibility to add BOTH addresses to your Contacts and Safe Senders or Whitelist, and to regularly check your Spam folder etc.

  • If my Web site has no special request form for your job, list your requirements in an email or letter (see below).

  • I send copies as digital images that you download via my Dropbox (and I advise you to use a free Dropbox account for backup copies of items that would be expensive or impossible to replace). If you need traditional paper photocopies, or digital images posted on a USB thumb drive, extra fees apply (see Delivery Options).

  • If you need results by a certain date, check with me before you send payment, because I only work part-time.

  • Registered mail is an optional extra. There is no compensation if unregistered mail goes astray. If you pay extra to have documents sent by registered mail ($5 within Australia or $28 to other countries), please mention that.

  • Please read my refund policy below. You are welcome to check my credentials before sending payment.

  • Do NOT send email attachments (documents, images etc) unless I've authorised that (because if you send attachments when I'm travelling, you may be billed for data download costs).

AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS: (choose one of these options)

  • Bank deposit / electronic funds transfer:
    1. Put your name in the transaction description when you deposit to my account (see image below).
      (For security, the details are shown as an image) [image of details]
    2. Then email your request (be specific), postal address and deposit details (date, amount & transaction number) to this address (shown as an image) [Image of email address].

  • Credit card: I can only accept credit card payments that are made via PayPal (see below).

  • PayPal: Send money from a credit card, debit card or bank account (I do not see the account/card number). At www.paypal.com send money to this address (shown as an image): [Image of email address]; then email me at that address with your request (be specific) and your postal address.

  • Post your request with an Australian currency cheque or money order to Judy Webster, PO Box 5043, Algester QLD 4115, Australia. WARNING: some mail has been lost in transit, and some has taken three months to arrive.

If you are OVERSEAS (NOT in Australia):

  • Credit card: I can only accept credit card payments that are made via PayPal (see below).

  • PayPal: Even if your credit card, debit card or bank account is in another currency, PayPal makes it easy to send payment in Australian dollars. At www.paypal.com send money to this address (shown as an image): [Image of email address]; then email me at that address with your request (be specific) and your postal address.

Refund Policy:

  1. For documents that you've already seen, it is your responsibility to send me photocopies or tell me the full source reference including the record office's location/ID number for each document. If you don't, work may be duplicated and your money may be wasted.

  2. If your deposit exceeds the cost of the work, the surplus is refundable. If you cancel a request, I will deduct any costs already incurred (expenses, handling time etc) and refund the balance of your deposit. I send refunds by bank deposit or PayPal. If you ask for a money order instead, its cost (about $10 including postage) will also be deducted from your deposit.
